Our Board Members
Susan Brose, Financial Business Manager
Susan began working with the Select Choir program assisting Sarah Baker in 2010 just prior to the spring choir trip to Pittsburg, PA. Well, from there Susan developed a passion for the Select Choir program at Little Miami and began organizing and fundraising and adding events each year. Definitely with the help of chorale parents. Susan’s daughters Bethany and Shannon have long since graduated, but Susan maintains that this organization is for her sake and was not for her children’s, although she loved watching them perform with the chorale.
The Brose family moved to Maineville in the spring of 2004. The Brose children Bethany and Shannon were a part of the chorale program during their time at Little Miami. Shannon has moved to Florida and Bethany has graduated from Wittenburg University and has accepted a position with Miami University, Hamilton regional campus in their admissions office. Bethany remains a part of the Little Miami story and is on the Little Miami Tour Chorale’s Membership Advisory Board. Susan has two older children Kelsey and Graham and grandchildren (Kelsey’s) Ryann (5th) and Nolan (K) who also live in Maineville. Ryann is already planning for when it will be her time in LMSC.
Susan works as a licensed massage therapist since 1999 and has just recently located Beckett Massage Therapy in her home. Susan, prior to becoming an LMT, worked in various corporate settings in accounting. Currently she has a role as a part time bookkeeper. Keeping and maintaining the select choirs’ records provides such a joy for her.
Sherry Gatrell, President
Sherry moved into the Little Miami school district in 2003 from Mason.
She has 3 kids, her eldest Kristina graduated from Mason in 2006. Jeffrey graduated from Little Miami in 2009 and was one of the 1st members in the select mixed choir. Her youngest Jordan will graduate in 2018. He has been a member of the select choir since his freshman year.
Their family enjoys boating, hiking and pretty much any activities outdoors.
Sherry is looking forward to serving on the board this year to help strengthen the core values of the select choir and move forward the already very successful organization to new heights for this year and beyond.
In her professional life she is a Paralegal of 14 years for Lavin Law Group located in Lebanon Ohio. They are a firm specializing in Elder law.
Robin Davis, Vice President
Robin will be serving the role of Vice-President for the Little Miami Select Choirs for the 2017-2018 school year. The Davis family moved to Little Miami in 2002. Her children Hope and Micah are excited to be part of the choir program.
She is currently an aide for two autistic boys at Goshen High School. She appreciates the flexibility her job provides so she can be available to support her own high schoolers.
Robin feels that the LMSC Parent Board this year is a fun way for her to be supportive and encouraging in her children’s love of music.
Most of Robin’s professional life has been working as a children’s pastor. She looks forward to bringing her experience in children’s ministry as she serves on the board. Some of her favorite moments so far were rallying volunteers for events that benefit the entire family – often highly influenced by music.
For fun she enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, and volunteering at her church – including singing with her husband on their worship team. Turns out the love for singing runs in her family.
Michelle Dwyer, Secretary
Michelle and her daughter, Keegan have been involved with the Little Miami Select Choirs for the past couple of years with this being the third year.
Michelle will be serving the role of Secretary for the 2017-2018 school year. She is thrilled to be able to provide support and assistance to everyone.
This is her second year serving the Select Choirs as Secretary. She is looking forward to providing the support the board needs so that information in this group is easy to manage by all.
She is appreciative of the confidence place in her to keep all the information organized and ready for the board, parents and students. She is excited for the new school year and what our young men and women will accomplish!
Feel free to reach out to Michelle if you have any questions about LMSC, she is happy to help.
